Shipping Policy
We ship across India from Thane. Furniture is the one category where the route into the house matters as much as the room it is going in.
How the timings work
Handling is 1-2 business days — from a confirmed order to the parcel leaving us. Transit is on top: 2-4 business days to a metro address and 4-8 business days elsewhere. Added together that gives 3-6 business days to a metro address and 5-10 business days elsewhere, which is the figure quoted everywhere on this site. Working days exclude Sundays and public holidays.
Packing
Flat-packed panels travel with edge and corner protection; assembled pieces are wrapped and crated where the maker supplies a crate. Surface marks on a crate are normal; a crushed corner is not, and that is the difference to look for before signing.
On delivery day
- Look at the carton before you sign. If it is crushed, soaked or rattling, refuse it and tell us.
- Photograph the carton and the item if anything is wrong, before the packing goes in the bin.
- Report damage within 48 hours of delivery to atelier@woodinteriors.shop. We replace or refund.
Measure the narrowest point of the route before ordering, not just the room — the doorway, the stair turn and the lift. An assembled piece that fits the wall but will not reach it is a return at your cost, and a large one.
Tax
Wood Interiors is a small online retailer and is not registered for GST: turnover stays below the applicable registration threshold in India, so registration has not become compulsory. GST is therefore not charged separately on any order, and no GST tax invoice carrying a registration number can be issued. The figure printed beside an item is the whole amount payable.
Orders placed after 3:00 PM IST are picked up the next working day. We do not dispatch on days the shop is closed or on public holidays, and delivery windows are estimates rather than guaranteed dates.
