Wood moves. A good listing says how much.

Furniture is the category where a photograph tells you least. Two pieces that look identical can differ by the thing that decides how long they last: whether the panel is solid timber, an engineered board with a veneer, or a laminate over particle board.

None of the three is dishonest. Solid timber moves with humidity and can be sanded back; engineered board stays flat and cannot; laminate is the cheapest and shows its edge first. What is dishonest is a listing that says wood and stops there.

So where a maker states the material, the finish or the assembled size, we put it on the page. Where they do not, we leave it blank rather than guess — a blank is more useful than a number nobody stands behind. The same rule covers the part of the range that is not wood at all: the desk chairs here are mesh over a metal frame, and we say so rather than let the shop name imply otherwise.
